1.    Explain any two methods of conducting Boring in Soil Exploration.

4.    Compute the corrected N value at the mid depth of each layer of the subsoil strata shown in below. 

 

5.    Explain the method of slices to compute the factor of safety of an infinite slope for a c-φ soil.

6.    Calculate the factor of safety of the slope given below. Take C_u = 25kN/m³ and Φ = 0⁰ and angle of the slope is 45⁰
